  • Private services: blood, urine, stool and throat

Available to patients aged 7 years and older, our various specimen collection services provide fast and reliable results, often in less than 24 hours depending on the type of analysis.

Pre-appointment instructions if you have to fast:
- 12 hours without food.
- 48 hours without alcohol.
- You can drink water.

Pre-appointment instructions if undergoing induced oral hyperglycemia: 
- You must be fasting.
- Several blood samples must be taken over a period of 2.5 hours depending on the hyperglycemia test required.

  • Rapid streptococcus screening

Streptococcus are microorganisms that cause a number of infections such as pharyngitis, which can present with symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, swollen tonsils, fever and headache. We screen for strep throat with quick results.

Prerequisites: Have a prescription from a doctor. Negative COVID rapid test required the same day - not provided by HekaLab.

  • Harmony prenatal test

The Harmony prenatal test requires a single blood sample to screen for Down syndrome (trisomy 21) and two other rare genetic disorders, Edward syndrome (trisomy 18) and Patau syndrome (trisomy 13). Patients can be tested as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy.

Prerequisite: Have a prescription from a doctor.

  • H. pylori screening (breath test)

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection plays an important role in the development of peptic ulcers. H. pylori tests are used to check for infection in the stomach and upper small intestine.

Pre-appointment instructions:
Do not take antibiotics or Pepto Bismol 30 days before the test. Do not take any acid-lowering medication up to 14 days before the test. Fasting 4 hours before the test, without food or water.
